New and Safe Trails
New and Safe Trails
Our City’s trail plan has been around since the early 2000s, but still lacks key links. We shouldn’t have to wait another 20 years to safely run, walk with kids and pets, and bicycle in our City. Despite the need for trails in a City lacking sidewalks, the Council won’t bond to finish key links so that we can enjoy them now. While bonding is a common finance tool used by many cities to address a need when assets are insufficient, much like we all use home mortgages, this Council has refused to pursue bonding, especially at a time when interest rates were extraordinarily low.
